Abstract
This case study presents a male immigrant of Pakistani origin with urinary symptoms. He is married but reluctantly shares that he has occasional unprotected sex with other men. He grew up in a culture where homosexual relationships are condemned as a sin and disclosure could lead to serious consequences. He does not identify as a gay man. Culturally competent strategies for providing care to such patients and recommendations for individual, organizational and community level interventions are included.
