Abstract
In this chapter, we investigate differences in the epistemic practices of scientists and creationists. We compare and contrast the epistemic practices of scientists with those of three different groups of creationists: (a) young Earth creationists, (b) intelligent design creationists, and (c) the scientists who were creationists in the middle to late 1800s, around the time when Darwin published The Origin of Species in 1859. We address seven dimensions of epistemic practices, including both cognitive and social practices.
