Abstract

Marketing Corporate sponsorship Cross disciplinary collaboration Shoestring budgets Woodblock Woodstock
This poster will look at the ideas of how to create programming and market the library while working on a shoe-string budget. I will provide ideas and tips while comparing the two projects Woodblock Woodstock on the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale campus in April 2011, as well as the recent event in New Brunswick, NJ, Navigating Rutgers 101: mapping your way around campus. This poster will also include a library literature review of how corporate sponsorship and cross-disciplinary collaboration can play a role in the everyday lives of libraries and librarians.
