Abstract
Functioning effectively within ad-hoc teams is a critical competency for health care providers to develop, especially within acute care settings. This presentation will describe the development and piloting of a simulation involving family emergency nurse practitioner (FENP) students, pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP) students and dual pediatric nurse practitioner students in their acute care curriculum (PNP-AC) collaboratively caring for a critically ill adolescent with sepsis. Mapping to course objectives, curricular competencies and next steps for the project will be discussed.
