Abstract
This article presents a quality improvement project designed to increase the understanding of prostate cancer and the management strategy of active surveillance (AS) among a cohort of African-American men being managed by AS for prostate cancer. This project provides a framework to further develop and implement an ongoing educational program to optimize disease management support among this vulnerable population.
