Abstract

Collection analysis collection development library music collections performance data
This case study examines the use of performance data from recital programs to inform collection analysis and development for printed music scores. Analyzing performance data in comparison to library collections can highlight instrument and voice areas that are underrepresented in libraries and aligns library collections with local performance practices. Using performance data may also be used to influence stakeholders about investment in score collections and identify repertoire likely to be used by students and faculty.
